Vivid Sydney Festival 2011 was launched on 27 May and made Sydney more bright and striking. Vivid Sydney Festival is the celebration with music, ideas and light and helps people especially the artists to unveil their skills on the global platform. Artists from various fields and countries like Germany, Singapore, New Zealand, France, Australia etc are revealing their talents this year. So this year’s celebrations are going to mark the history with above 200,000 visitors. This Festival has lots of things, activities and programs for the entertainment of people and it is the major carnival in the Southern Hemisphere.
In the opening session of Vivid Sydney Festival 2011, 40light installations were employed. The most eminent part of this festival is “Lighting the Sails”-organized by SUPERBIEN on the iconic Sydney Opera House. Executive Producer of Vivid Sydney, Ignatius Jones said, “In a world where the vast majority of festivals are held at the height of summer, Sydney’s mild winter nights make our city the perfect setting to play with light and what a stage we have for an outdoor festival with Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay and The Rocks the stage for best and brightest local and international creative minds to showcase their talent through light, music and ideas. Vivid Sydney brings us one of the world’s most iconic buildings, the Sydney Opera House – singing and dancing in a way few great monuments ever could, or ever would.”
Light Music and Ideas at Vivid Sydney 2011 have caught the attraction of international media towards this spectacular event; the end of this awe-inspiring fiesta is near.
